Real People, Real Hope
NewHope4UAt New Hope Community Church we're all about helping people connect with God and building them up to become mature followers of Jesus Christ.
The Bible says that God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us. The problem is every time we choose our way over God’s way it is sin, and sin breaks our relationship with God. We can try to get back to God on our own, but all our best efforts fall short. ![]() Even our very best is far from the perfection God requires, so God bridged the gap by sending Jesus Christ—God in the flesh—to take our place. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, and then he paid the penalty for our sin, dying in our place. ![]() That is God’s ultimate gift to us, but like any gift it must be received to be effective. We receive God’s gift of salvation through faith. To do that we must own up to our own brokenness, turn from our sinful ways, and turn to Jesus, trusting God to forgive us and committing ourselves to cooperate with him in making us the person he wants us to be. When we do that we become God’s children, adopted into his family.
If you have never accepted God’s free gift of salvation, you can do it today. If you don’t know how to pray, something like this will work just fine: Dear God, thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place. I realize that I am the one who deserved to die because I have turned my back on you and chosen the path of sin. I’m sorry. Forgive me. From now on I want to follow you. Make me the person you want me to be.
If you have accepted God’s gift of salvation, or if you have recommitted yourself to living for God, we would like to share your joy and support you on your journey of faith. Please contact us, and someone will be in touch with you to discuss your next steps.
